Dear Sibs,
This might not be news for you, because Dad has probably called all of us, but I got a message on the answering machine yesterday. Dad wanted me to know that Jean has had another heart attack, or some such, and is in the hospital now for "major surgery", which I am guessing is a coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), pronounced cabbage by us weird medicine types.
Interesting that she wanted him to call us.
Word for the day: schadenfreude.

Yup, it was a bypass, and they're going to put in a stint (?) before she goes home. She is doing fine but, of course, has some pain. I was the official dog sitter while Dad was at the hospital. As it turns out, Karen had a seizure while at the hospital, so I got to take her two English Bull dogs home with me for the night. Dad did pay me for dogsitting, so I have some more spending money for my vacation with the baroness. Woo hoo!!
Everything is fairly back to normal, but I'm not quite sure what normal is. That's the scoop from what I know at this point.
Love ya all, MF
